  • Violinist Billy Bang (William Vincent Walker) passed away on April 11th. This program highlights his latest release, Prayer for Peace, the only recording by his regular quintet. Also heard will be music from his poignant Vietnam: the Aftermath from 2001 and Vietnam: Reflections(2005). Bang's experience in the thick of the Vietnam war cast a defining influence on his art.
